MY APPROACH TO PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Playing at higher levels of basketball taught Justin that talent alone is never enough.

Player development requires strong fundamentals, basketball IQ, decision-making, confidence, discipline and the ability to apply skills when the game speeds up.

That philosophy now shapes Justin’s approach at MBP Basketball. The goal is not simply to keep players busy or put them into more games. It is to help athletes understand why they are doing something, recognize what the game is giving them and develop skills that translate into real competition.

Every player develops differently. Some need more competitive experience. Others need additional repetitions, focused skills training, stronger fundamentals or time to build confidence. The objective is to identify what a player needs now and help them continue progressing toward the next level.
